Newcastle University Business School invites Shaun Goffe, eMarketing consultant and graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, to provide an insight into the world of social media and to discuss ways in which people connect to brands through social networking channels. The talk will aim to make individuals and organisations more aware of good practice when marketing online.
Shaun, who has worked with companies such as HTC, Lexmark, IBM and Epson, will deliver examples of businesses who have been unsuccessful in implementing social media strategies and, in contrast, organisations who have positively integrated social media into their working environments.
Topics covered will include secrets of Google algorithms, blogosphere surveillance best practice and successful ways of representing individuals and organisations online through social media networks such as Linked In and Facebook. Shaun will also discuss the importance of contacting key communicators in social networks in order to market products and services quickly and more efficiently.
The talk will conclude by providing attendees with an instructional 10-point plan on how to improve search engine optimisation within their organisations.
There will be an opportunity to put forward questions following the presentation.
