'Getting British universities to produce more entrepreneurs isn't just a feel good exercise for young people. It has, quite simply, never been more important to our future, particularly with today's economic slowdown.' (The Independent, September 2008).
Newcastle University brings together four leading entrepreneurs from the region in an interactive panel discussion to discuss the role of universities in inspiring entrepreneurship in the 21st Century. Reflecting on their own personal experiences and their respective roles with Newcastle University to support the agenda, the discussion will open up an interesting debate on the role of universities in developing entrepreneurs.
It will also explore how in practice Newcastle University is responding to the agenda and what more could be done to stimulate and support tomorrow's entrepreneurs.
This event will also be an exciting opportunity for practitioners and educators to come together to participate, discuss and shape a vision for the future. The discussion will be moderated by Caroline Theobald, MD of The Bridge Club
