Former Costa Rican Minister of Trade, Professor Alberto Trejos, explains how an emerging economy took on the World

The Business School hosted the event "New perspectives on our Ageing Workforce" with guest speaker Professor Dame Carol Black, former National Director for Health and Work and now Expert Adviser to the Department of Health.

Alastair is in conversation with well-known local ex MP Chris Mullin, who is also a diarist. Alastair gives us the benefit of his years of experience and discusses his personal involvement in the development of the Strategic Communications Agency.

"Opportunities are everywhere but most people miss them.  Recognising an opportunity and acting on it is what distinguishes the entrepreneur from the business manager.  Fear of failure, wrong timing, other priorities and staying on the safe side are all reasons or excuses for not seizing an opportunity and running with it. In this panel debate event, experts from the region will debate if they agree with the above statement or if there are other factors that come into play with an entrepreneurial mindset.
