Alumni guest speaker programme now in its second yearAs the Newcastle University Business School global alumni programme continues to grow, so does the volunteering opportunities we are developing for you to get involved in the life and wellbeing of your business school.
Now in its second year, the alumni guest-speaking programme has over doubled in size. From 30 volunteers involved in the programme in 2012 to now over 60 in 2013, we are looking forward to welcoming our special alumni guest speakers into our classrooms (either physically or virtually) to contribute to the learning objectives and outcomes of our taught programmes.
As our academic community currently plans their teaching schedules for the coming year, we are busy promoting this fantastic resource to them. We are also currently encouraging any new alumni guest speakers to join the ranks of their peers, in communicating their personal and professional experiences to the Newcastle University Business School student community, through this programme.
I am interested in becoming an alumni guest speaker for the Business School, what should I do?
If you feel you could be an excellent speaker for this volunteer programme, please contact bsalumni@ncl.ac.uk with ‘Alumni guest speaker’ in the subject line.
Following your expression of interest we will give you all the details of what the programme involves, including any time commitment, which will be required. Following this we will then add you to a new electronic resource we are working on for the programme… it shouldn’t be long before you are sitting in the classroom again!
We look forward to welcoming you to this vital alumni volunteer programme, which adds substantial value to the learning and teaching agenda of the school.
