Dr Panos Piperopoulos discusses Greek elections

Dr Piperopoulos, lecturer in enterprise and creativity at Newcastle University Business School, featured on BBC 5 Live to discuss the current elections in Greece.

With Greece’s government in a current state of disarray, Dr Piperopoulos discussed the risks of being without a government to lead and implement the austerity measures agreed for the previous bailout, and the potential worsening of a very unstable economic and political situation.

Dr Piperopoulos suggested the people of Greece are displaying strong signals that they’ve had enough of the austerity measures currently in place and would like to see what might happen if Greece were to go bankrupt.
