At Newcastle University Business School, we aim to create individuals who can adapt, manage and preserve within the challenging business world. We endeavour to connect the classroom to boardroom to ensure that our students have both the talent and practical skills to succeed in global markets.
The innovative Global Experience Opportunity Internships is one way we can enable our students to build their global knowledge and gain a global perspective. Following the hugely successful pilot in 2011, hosted in collaboration with RBI, the Business School is inviting companies to enjoy the benefits this programme can offer.
A constantly increasing demand for global outlook and the ability to work in multicultural environments has led to companies actively trying to recruit the brightest students onto their internship schemes.
The Global Experience Opportunity Internships facilitates the development of our students and provides employers with fresh perspectives from young people studying at a university ranked 12th in the country by the Sunday Times University Guide 2012.
A Global Experience Opportunity Internship involves:
· A six week internship commencing in July
· This may be paid or unpaid (unpaid internships usually provide accommodation or subsistence costs)
· Students work on project-based tasks or case studies
With the wide range of undergraduate courses available at the Business School, organisations can target students from a specific knowledge area.
If you have an internship programme you would like to include in the Global Experience Opportunity programme, please contact the Head of International Relations, Sharmishta Chatterjee-Banerjee at: Sharmishta.Chatterjee-Banerjee@ncl.ac.uk.
