A Newcastle University Business School MBA graduate of 2010, Michael Hall, has advanced his career to new heights.  Michael, originally from Michigan, US, has secured a role as Associate Product Manager for surgical instruments with a Fortune 500 company Stryker Corporation.

Michael is responsible for marketing products worldwide, planning, directing and managing the marketing activities for Stryker’s Waste Management Surgical Product line.  Stryker targeted Michael because of his impressive skills, knowledge and qualifications, including the Newcastle University Business School MBA and due to his previous clinical experience within the medical industry.

Michael commented on his career success:

“Not only did achieving a MBA from Newcastle University Business School aid in my personal development, it also assisted me in my career progression.  It gave me an opportunity to take a managerial position within a highly respected Fortune 500 company, whereas without my experience on the Newcastle MBA programme, the same opportunity would not have arisen.”

The Business School is seeing a continuous rise in the number of American students choosing to study MBAs, as the option of the one year Full-time programme is an attractive alternative to the two-year MBA courses offered in the US.

Michael joins the ranks of over 10,000 Business School graduates worldwide. He has recently agreed to become one of the School’s Alumni Ambassadors and will continue to remain in active contact with the School that he says he feels passionate about and wants to give something back to.
