A leading market research survey, "The International Student Barometer (ISB)" which surveys almost seventy thousand students from 84 institutions showed overwhelmingly positive results for Newcastle University. In particular international students studying at the University were the most satisfied in the UK*.
The survey, which covers a range of institutions, including 18 of the research intensive "Russell Group*" of institutions (of which Newcastle is one) showed that Newcastle University's international students came 1st amongst Russell Group members and were acrtually the 7th most satisfied in the world.
Speaking of the results, Kay Jones, Director of Marketing and Development in the Business School said;
"The Business School is always very popular with International Students and we are constantly developing our extensive range of programmes to appeal to students wherever they are from. We are delighted that international students are satisfied with their experience at the University. It is particularly pleasing to do so well compared to other UK research intensive institutions in the Russell Group.
Within the Business School we have worked hard to develop dedicated careers support for our many international and home students. We have also developed a very popular student social programme. Here students can get to know each other better, visiting interesting locations and historic sites in the UK on social trips organised by the School.
We all think Newcastle is a great place to live and study and the increased diversity international student bring to the campus is fantastic. We look forward to welcoming our new intake of international students into the Business School later this year"
