Over 600 talented students graduated from Newcastle University Business School in December, and their success was celebrated during its annual postgraduate awards reception.
The postgraduate students attended their graduation ceremony at the prestigious King’s Hall within Newcastle University's Armstrong Building. During the ceremony Soujanya Nagarajarao, a graduand from the MSc E-business and Information Systems programme, delivered a graduation speech on behalf of the fellow graduates from the class of 2011.
Following their formal congregation, the students and their families and friends celebrated in style with a champagne reception and awards presentation.
In total 39 students received awards, which were given for the best dissertation and best student on each programme.
Newcastle University Business School’s director of postgraduate studies, Neil Alderman, said: "This event is a highlight for the Business School as it gives us the chance to recognise the effort and endeavour of each of our students and to congratulate them on their success. A business school masters demands intensive study and reaching the standard required for the award of a Masters degree is a tremendous achievement.
"The graduation, reception and prize giving form a milestone in the students' educational careers.”
Now that the students have graduated, Newcastle University Business School is already working hard to ensure that they stay in touch with the graduates as their degree takes them into the international business community.
