The Marketing Consultancy projects are an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students undertaking BA Business Management, BA Marketing and Management and BSc Marketing programmes to work within a consultancy role for a local company, putting the theory they have acquired in class into practice.
They are designed as an alternative to the traditional dissertation and provide students with the opportunity to undertake a professional marketing consultation, working on a real problem that the company are experiencing.
The five companies taking part in this year’s Marketing Consultancy Projects are:
- Northumbria Police
- Hardy & Grey’s
- iSuki online dating
- Culcreuch Castle Hotel: Hideaway Country Holidays
- Natural Empathy
- Flexible Text
The type of practical experience that students gain from undertaking these projects in invaluable and help equip students with the skills and experience necessary to successfully gain graduate level employment after completing their degree.
Stuart Challinor, Programme Director of the Marketing and Management course says:
‘Employers are looking for evidence of practical experience, project management & effective team working in graduates’ curriculum vitae. I feel that the Marketing Consultancy Project achieves this and embodies the ultimate experiential learning experience for our students.’
We will be following these projects throughout the year and will post further updates in the near future.
