We offer you as a graduate of the School the opportunity to help current students who perhaps are studying the same programme as you did or they need some career advice and assistance.
Perhaps you work for a company in a sector that a current student would love to work in after graduation? What a great chance to impart your wisdom and experience. You must have learned so much that you could share knowledge or contacts to help someone else break into that sector or land their dream job?
Mentoring comes in many different shapes and forms at the School and University but we always need your help and greatly appreciate any help, information or support you could potentially provide for students.
Contact Us if you feel you can offer your time and expertise to our Mentoring efforts and we will give you a rundown of the current opportunities.

“I was first approached to do mentoring during my Executive MBA course by the former Head of the ‘Graduates into Enterprise’ programme and was asked to become a mentor for business modules because of my previous business experience.
I have been mentoring now for 3 years and I do it because I find the enthusiasm and energy of the students refreshing and the ideas they have are really astonishing.
Students whom I have mentored have told me that the experience has taught them many things. From students absolutely adamant that they do not want to be self-employed or run a business to students who realise they have strong entrepreneurial talent and are keen to pursue a career in business after graduation.
I personally think the modules are critical for the student's future success and I am very happy to be a part of their personal and professional development and would recommend offering your time to mentoring future students.”
Graduate Connections is an online networking tool, which allows students to get in touch directly with graduates working in a diverse range of careers and organisations so that they may ask a range of questions pertinent to their careers choices. It is a service provided by the University's Careers Service.
