The Business School appreciates that projects may involve the students dealing with confidential information, and the importance of this is stressed to the student. A Confidential Disclosure Agreement is used, which is a three way agreement between the student, the Business School and the host organisation, requiring each party to treat any information received in confidence. The formal assessed reports and presentations will be marked by two members of academic staff and may be required for review by external examiners, but will not be used for any other purpose by the Business School without permission.
In line with the University’s Health and Safety Regulations if the student group is on your premises for a sustained period [more than ½ a day] or undertaking work on your behalf they are the responsibility of your organisation, and need to be covered under your employer / public liability insurance. The students are therefore required to complete a simple health and safety checklist.
A key outcome of the project will be for the student group, based on their research, to provide you with recommendations and an action plan. If your organisation chooses to implement any of the recommendations made by the students you should note that these are not covered by the University’s professional indemnity insurance and you would do so at your own risk.
