The David Goldman Endowment

David Goldman was one of the founders of The Sage Group plc, and a highly respected member of the North East business community.

After his untimely death in 1999, his family made an endowment in his memory to Newcastle University Business School.

This currently supports the David Goldman Chair of Innovation & Enterprise, a David Goldman doctoral student and the appointment of an annual visiting professor drawn from the region’s business community who each year gives the annual David Goldman Business School lecture.

The School also offers the BA Hons Business Accounting and Finance Flying Start Programme, a collaboration between the Newcastle University, PwC and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the first of its kind to provide a combination of a degree, paid work placements and accelerated professional qualifications.
