Placements are integrated within the second, third and fourth years of the Flying Start Programme. Joining PwC’s Assurance team, you’ll work on real projects for clients from PwC’s prestigious client list. Wherever you are based, the nature of an audit mean that travel will be involved throughout your placement. This could mean spending time in a number of different cities across the UK!
Opportunities for placements exist across the UK, though the numbers of available placements vary from office to office. PwC will work with you to decide on an appropriate placement location from the opportunities and locations available.
In years 2 and 3 the placements usually take place between December and April. The year 4 placement is slightly longer and takes place between mid-November and April. Detailed training is provided by PwC before the first placement and all students will receive training updates before the placements in years 3 and 4.
Whilst on placement you will be supported by a network that includes staff from the University and PwC. You will receive an attractive salary with paid holiday and PwC will also help you with relocation assistance for each placement should you need it.
James Knight, 2006 graduate: "Each placement allowed me to put into practice the theory I had learnt in the Professional Stage modules at the University. Upon completion of a module I felt confident in talking about issues if they arose on a job."
