Getting advice from a career's advisor

Here at the Business School we are committed to helping you achieve the best possible employment outcomes when you leave university. In order to help you achieve your career goals, we have a dedicated Business School Careers Advisor who is always on hand to help you with your queries, whether you have a clear idea of what you want to do or have no idea where to start.

The University’s award winning Careers Service is one of the largest in the UK Higher Education sector and provides support to all of our students and alumni for three years after graduation. The Service can provide you with anything from careers information, advice and guidance, business start up advice and resources, work experience opportunities and much more.

In addition to this, the Careers Service has developed an elective module for undergraduate students on Business Enterprise in conjunction with the School. All students on this module, and within the business school, have access to a range of services offered by Rise Up.

This includes the chance to enter The Rise Up Pitch; a unique opportunity to receive business coaching from a number of the region’s finest entrepreneurs and business people which will lead on to the chance to pitch their idea in front of a panel of investors.

International case studies

The case study videos found at www.ncl.ac.uk/careers/explore/international/case-studies/ highlight the experiences of some of our international students and graduates in planning and developing their careers in the UK through work experience, graduate employment and further study.
