If you are a budding entrepreneur, or have a business idea that you wish to develop, the Careers Service has a team of business advisers, business support staff and entrepreneurs in residence who can help you get your ideas off the ground.

In addition to this, you will also be given access to creative thinking space and office facilities within ‘The Elevator’ – the Careers Service’s dedicated open plan workspace designed to help you generate and develop your business ideas. ‘The Elevator’ can offer you:

  • Office facilities including hot desks with PCs, telephone, printing and scanning facilities
  • Internet access and wireless connection
  • Access to funding opportunities (subject to availability)
  • Access to COBRA – an online information resource for businesses
  • A ready-made network group of like-minded people and the opportunity to share experience and exchange ideas and business opportunities
