Brief description of career since graduating…


Since graduation I have worked in a variety of roles. Initially I did some temping work for the NHS where I helped complete tenders, PQQ’s etc and also carried out basic admin work and supported the business manager.

In September 2009 I joined Magnet where I worked as an Assistant Product Manager, managing four different product lines. I would ensure that all branches could find specifications, pricing, and promotions, amongst other duties and was ultimately responsible for all communications to branches updating them with the latest news, product information, promotions, pricing amends etc.

I then started at Cintra June 2010 as the Marketing Manager.

Your current role: What are your responsibilities, what is a typical day like, what are the highs and lows of the job?

As the Marketing Manager I am responsible for the marketing strategy and telesales team. I am responsible for PR and marketing campaigns, the website - updating and improving. I manage the telesales team to ensure they follow up on campaigns, meet targets and generate business. I am in the process of updating all marketing material, brochures, the website, quotes etc. The job is demanding and challenging, but exactly the challenge I want and need.
