Programme Studied: BA (Hons) Business Management
Year of Graduation: 2010
Current Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager
Current Company: The Knowledge Labs
Upon Graduation I found a job putting up marquees in Newcastle. I put the graduation marquee up... slightly ironic. However, I managed to save some cash before embarking on the job hunt. Whilst hunting I quickly became bored so I set up employKyle.com, which turned out to be a full time job in itself.
After 63 days I had 15 job offers, I'm now two weeks in to my first "real" job. I'm the Digital marketing manager at the Knowledge Labs and I'm currently in New York.
I afraid I'm going to take the stereotypical route; there's no typical day. At least not yet! I think the best way to describe my "typical day" would be to talk you through today!
7.00am

There are many high points and not so many low points. I've landed on my feet and I feel very fortunate. I can't imagine ever growing fond of a spreadsheet though.
Brilliant facilities. Very supportive staff - I once received a grant of £500 from the Business school without having to jump through hoops. The Director shared my vision and made it happen within days. Lecturers also went the extra mile taking the time to listen to practice pitches and offer advice in matters unrelated to the course.
