Brief description of career since graduating…
I joined Ryecroft Glenton in Newcastle upon Tyne straight from University, qualified as a chartered accountant 3 years later and became a Divisional Director in 2011.
Your current role: What are your responsibilities, what is a typical day like, what are the highs and lows of the job?
I am a Director of Business and Assurance Services at Ryecroft Glenton predominantly working with small, medium and large limited companies across a variety of sectors including retail, manufacturing, construction, executive search and several others. I also work with many sole traders and partnerships and I am part of the pensions audit team. The highs are that I work with a great team and for some great clients. The lows are that I don’t get to spend much time outdoors which I love! But I make up for this by playing many sports and I enjoy walking in Northumberland.
What are your main memories of your time at the Business School?
Making some good friends, working hard (January and May especially!), playing hard and overall my degree was a really good experience.
