Programme Studied: BA (Hons) Economics & Accounting
Year of Graduation: 1983
Current Job Title: Partner
Current Company: PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC
I joined PwC in London straight from University in 1983, qualified as an accountant 3 years later and became a partner in 1995.
I am now the firm's global head of the Engineering & Construction industry.
I am the lead partner on a range of clients in the construction and property sectors in London. Clients are demanding, so you tend to need to be available around the clock addressing new issues as they arise. In my global industries role I also spend time supporting our teams around the globe, so there is a fair amount of international travel. I also take responsibility for our media profile and thought leadership in the sector which means that I need to stay on top of issues facing the sector and to be ready with a PwC view.
I was heavily involved with AIESEC, the student body that links economics students with business, whist at University and was the president of the Newcastle University branch in my second year.
