Brief description of career since graduating…
After leaving university I spent 6 months travelling South America before returning to the UK to work in a live events production company. I then spent almost a year working with my fellow directors to develop and launch VirtualStudio.TV.
Your current role: What are your responsibilities, what is a typical day like, what are the highs and lows of the job?
I am the Studio Director at VirtualStudio.TV. My role is really to help to turn our clients’ scripts and ideas into fully completed videos. I work with them to produce scripts, video and graphics to be included in their videos and then help produce the final video output.
Day to day this involves working with different clients on a range of projects and also shooting and editing video. The highs come when I see the great reaction from our clients when they see their completed videos. The lows are the late nights and weekends that are sometimes lost to create them!
What are your main memories of your time at the Business School?
My main memories are the annual revision blitz that occurred in early January and late May for 3 years! I remember my final year being a tough one, but overall my degree was a really good experience.
