Aims

The module seeks to:
- explain how econometrics have been used and can be used to test theories in applied economic literature
- provide a comprehensive set of technical skills necessary to pursue certain types of empirical research in economics.
- offer the opportunity to develop some key quantitative skills that are highly valued in the private sector.

Original Summary:
The module comprises of three thematic units to cover the essential material from probability theory, data description and hypothesis testing, and regression analysis with particular focus on analysis of cross-sectional data.
