Aims

To enable students to devise, conduct, analyse and report the results of a substantial research project. This will include empirical work (preferably via sustained engagement with an external organisation). The research project will always include a critical review of the relevant academic literature and will explore the methodological issues in the project area.

The project report, consultancy report or dissertation is the written evidence of the student's ability to conduct and report an in-depth investigation on management in the creative industries.

Original Summary:
This module enables students to pursue an individual research project on a question of their choice. This requires students to put into practice knowledge and skills acquired through their research methods module and to design, carry out and report on a research project relating to the Creative Industries. This project can involve working with an external organisation.

Outline Of Syllabus

This is an individual research project, but students will receive academic supervision throughout their project.

Meetings with supervisor are designed to support the student during the process.

Provate study recognises that the extended project offers the student the oppurtunity to practice managing a relatively major investigation independently and to synthesise and apply knowledge gained.
