Aspire sponsors MSc in Ebusiness and IS
‘Aspire’ a regional IT solutions company will be sponsoring the MSc E-Business and Information Systems ‘Best Student’ and ‘Best Dissertation’ awards in 2009. This is the second year running that Aspire have sponsored the awards that will be presented to students as part of their graduation. Aspire has continued to work closely with the Business School over the last 12 months to provide exciting opportunities for E-Business students. This has included hosting a field trip, aimed at giving students a first hand experience of working within an IT company, and providing four students with the opportunity to work on a ‘live’ business problem for the company.
Aspire was established in 2006 to provide independent business support and IT solutions to small and medium sized businesses. They have grown from their initial base in the North East of England to offer an independent network across the UK. The Head Office and centralised operations are located in Newcastle upon Tyne, with a southern office in London. Aspire provides everything from a complete outsourced IT function, to offering support services to companies’ existing IT staff. This can involve building entire IT infrastructures, to supporting and maintaining IT systems with on-site visits, phone help lines and remote access.
