Savvas Papagiannidis is the Degree Programme Director of the MSc in E-Business and Information Systems. He graduated from the Physics Department of Newcastle University. Upon completion of his PhD he joined the E-Business research team at the Business School, in the same University. Savvas has started a number of E-Business ventures and also worked as a freelance Internet developer. Feng Li is Chair of E-Business Development at Newcastle University Business School. His research has centrally focused on the interactions between information systems on the one hand, and strategic and organisational innovations on the other. A particular focus of his current research is on the Internet and E-Business, and Emerging strategies, business models and organisational designs in the new economy. He has worked closely with companies in banking, telecommunications, car manufacturing and electronics industries through Research, Consultancy and Executive Management Programmes. His recent work on Internet banking and on telecom pricing models and value networks has been extensively reported by the media. Chris Ivory's background is as a social scientist and before joining the Business School as a Lecturer, Chris was a research associate in the Centre for Urban and Regional Development. Chris's research interests include: innovation, critical management approaches to project management and the management of complex projects. Aad van Moorsel joined the University in 2004. He worked in industry from 1996 until 2003, first as a researcher at Bell Labs/Lucent Technologies in Murray Hill and then as a research manager at Hewlett-Packard Labs in Palo Alto, both in the United States . Aad got his PhD in computer science from Universiteit Twente in The Netherlands (1993) and has a Masters in mathematics from Universiteit Leiden, also in The Netherlands. After finishing his PhD he was a postdoc at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign , Illinois , USA , for two years. He has worked in a variety of areas, from performance modelling to systems management, web services and grid computing. Most recently, he was responsible for HP's research in web and grid services, and worked on the software strategy of the company.
