The overall aim of the Cultures, Accounting and Management History research group is to promote an interdisciplinary approach to the study of accounting and management history in Newcastle drawing on the breadth of research expertise of its members.
Specifically, we work on collaborative projects in which we explore the rich collection of archives held within the region whilst at the same time retaining an interest in the wider historical connections.
The work relating to the North East has touched on a variety of areas, including coalmining, shipbuilding, engineering, hospitals and estates.
