NESEP, in collaboration with VONNE, Pentagon Partnership and Co-Ops North East, wishes to commission Newcastle University Business School/KITE to develop and facilitate the engagement of the voluntary and community (VCS) and wider Third Sector through the formation of the Valuing Social Values network.

Many VCS agencies in the region are also experienced in the use of such methods. Increasingly partnerships and projects have been built between VCS and Third Sector partners, and public procurement specialists, seeking to develop policy responses to the social value agenda. The Valuing Social Values Network would bring this expertise together in a central regional hub. The aim is to create a network to cultivate a regional discussion about the challenge of articulating social value. 

The network will comprise individuals and organisations interested in developing ideas, applying methodologies and learning about social value. It will also provide a reference point for identifying opportunities within the region to increase training and development in various social value approaches, and in so doing encourage peer exchange within and between sectors.
