I am a full-time lecturer in Accounting in the Business School.  I lecture in Financial Accounting and Reporting and teach the Audit & Assurance module on our flagship Business Accounting and Finance 'Flying Start' degree programme.  

I have a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Financial Analysis from Newcastle University and am a Chartered Accountant, by profession.  Before becoming an academic in 2010, I worked in two of the ‘big four’ accountancy practices in Newcastle as well as in industry in both the private and public sectors.

I am currently enrolled on a part time PhD, researching into accountability in employee-owned and co-operative organisations and am a member of the Accountability, Governance, Ethics and Sustainability ('AGES') Research Group within the Business School.
