As a member of the Executive Team Helen works with the Director and Deputy Director of School. As a a member of the management team they are tasked with developing the School's strategy, setting and monitoring targets, and adhering to decision making processes. Their role as a senior team is to ensure the future sustainability, growth and direction of the School.
Helen completed the Association of Business School's Development Programme for Senior Managers (DPSAM) in 2005.
She completed her MBA in July 2001.
Helen has been employed with the University of Newcastle upon Tyne since 1992 in a vareity of roles including working for the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine and Dentistry. Prior to this she was employed by Newcastle Health Authority. Helen joined Newcastle School of Management in 2000, and then became the School Administrator in the newly formed Business School in August 2002. In 2004 she undertook a six month secondment in the Faculty of HaSS working as the Deputy Head of Administration. In September 2004 Helen became the School Manager in the Business School.
