Dr. Mariarosa Scarlata is lecturer in entrepreneurship at Newcastle University Business School. Prior to that, she was fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Mariarosa received her PhD in Management Sciences from ESADE Business School and while doing her PhD she spent a visiting period at Babson College. Her research interests lie at the intersection of entrepreneurship and venture capital financing, with a particular focus on social entrepreneurship and philanthropic venture capital. She has presented her work at leading entrepreneurship and finance conferences and extensively published her work.
