12 month placements
Employers greatly value candidates who can demonstrate that they have gained relevant experience and have learned from this. Work experience during your degree can help you to demonstrate that you have already achieved a certain level of competence and this means you will be far more likely to get the graduate job you want.

The benefits that work experience can bring to candidates in the highly competitive graduate market place include:

Many of our students are offered a graduate job after a successful placement year, which takes the pressure off searching for a graduate job during the final year of studies.
There is also much evidence to show that a placement can also lead to a higher degree classification. In 2012, 98% of Business School graduates who did a placement achieved either a 1st or 2.1! In fact, 49 % achieved a 1st, and 49% achieved a 2.1!

This year, around 70 students are undertaking a 12 month placement with companies such as: IBM, Disney, Procter & Gamble, Nissan, Marks & Spencer, TUI, Unilever, Accenture, Cummins, GSK and Microsoft.
