I always knew that I wanted to be a chartered accountant so this fast track degree was exactly what I wanted.
Did the Open Day help?
Definitely, as I’d not visited the university before the assessment day. The guided tour really helped make my mind up that Newcastle university was the perfect place for me. I also found it especially useful to hear about the degree and accommodation from the current student point of view as after all that’s what really matters!
Hints and tips for the assessment centre day
The advice I was given which I found really helpful was sell yourself because no body else can do it for you. As simple as it sounds it really made me feel better about the interview especially. Also I’d advise practicing some interview questions so you are well prepared. As my parents carried out mock interviews with me to give me the best possible chance.
