Foundation Programmes
Some international students (for example, students from China and Turkey) must complete a foundation year prior to commencing an undergraduate degree programme. The foundation year is designed to prepare international students for undergraduate study in the UK . It aims to improve the language, study skills and subject knowledge required to succeed at a British university.
Newcastle University Foundation Programme
We run a foundation programme provided by INTO Newcastle which, subject to the achievement of certain marks, guarantees students a place on the Business School undergraduate programmes.
Other UK Foundation Programmes
Every year we accept a number of students from UK foundation programmes. Whilst each programme must be considered individually according to the grading criteria employed, we tend to require a minimum B or 65-70% average, as well as IELTS 6.5.
