You will be allocated a first and second supervisor who form a supervisory team. They will oversee your research, and offer advice and constructive criticism. Our supervisors give a very high priority to their postgraduates' research, often spending considerable time reading and commenting on written drafts of work.
All first stage research students attend the extensive research training programme provided at both Faculty level, and within the Law School. The Faculty Research Training Programme (FRTP) covers general social science training - including philosophy of social science, qualitative and quantitative techniques, bibliographical skills and advice on managing a PhD.
