Taught Degrees
You can study our programmes full time for one year, or part time over two
years. Unfortunately, these programmes are not available by distance learning or online.
All our programmes are suitable for non-law and law graduates alike.
For each of the LLM programmes, you complete taught courses (referred to by the University as modules) and a research dissertation to a total value of 180 credits. An important feature of our teaching is the research training, which will help you to plan, research and write your dissertation.
Our four LLM programmes are as follows:
- Environmental Law and Policy
- Unique programme for people who are interested in working in sectors such as the energy industry, planning and development, regulatory agencies, wildlife and conservation, agriculture, construction and environmental law practice.
- International Legal Studies
- A general programme for people who are interested in public international law and international Human Rights law possibly working in international organisations, government and non-government and in Human Rights Advocacy work.
- International Trade Law
- A programme for people who are interested in the World Trade Organisation and the regulation of world trade in a wide variety of commodities and sectors. Of interest to those wishing to work in Government or in the export sector.
- International Commercial Law
- A programme designed to equip its graduates with the skills and knowledge to face a challenging and ever-changing international business environment.
