In addition to giving students with an interest in the environment an opportunity to study an LLM in Environmental Law and Policy, Newcastle Law and the Environment Agency each year give two LLM students a chance to work with the Environment Agency’s Environmental Crime Team in Newcastle one day per week for three months (semester 3) during the summer while the students complete their dissertations.
The internships are a unique opportunity for well-qualified students to gain practical knowledge of the enforcement of environmental law with the most important environmental public authority in the UK thus complementing the environmental law teaching in the LLM programme.
