Newcastle Law School has pioneered the idea of relying upon our existing students providing additional support for our international students. Under the Student Mentoring Scheme all international students will receive support from a trained student mentor, providing a friendly and informal point of contact to help you settle into life in Newcastle.
The mentoring scheme was initiated as a pilot project in September 2008 and the feedback received by both mentors and mentees have been so positive that this programme will become a tier of the International Student Intensive Guidance and Development Programme. In 2008, the Law School's Internal Subject Review commended the peer mentoring scheme as exemplary practice.
