NUMed Malaysia Student Council
The model of student government for NUMed Malaysia is the same as that of the Medical School at Newcastle University UK.
The current NUMed Student Council, the pioneer committee, was elected by our students on 1st November 2012, consisting of 12 members:

Aims of NUMed Student Council:
It is the representative body for the student community in dealings with the academic leadership of NUMed Malaysia
It serves as a bridge between NUMed and the student community.
It serves as a platform to channel students’ feedback to NUMed and IIB, regarding various issues, such as accommodation, cafeteria, academic, facilities etc.
It enhances students’ experience through organising various activities, events and services
Services and Activities:
- Orientation Activity
- Winter Ball 2012
- Monthly Book ordering service
- Nightline programme, a hotline service for the troubled souls
- Student Luncheon, a gathering of NUMed students according to their ‘peer family’
- NUMed Run 2013, a charity run raising awareness and funds for Malaysia Lysosomal Diseases Association
