Newcastle University’s Malaysian campus is situated in Iskandar Puteri (formerly known as Nusajaya), Johor. Part of EduCity in Iskandar, it is 1km east of the Gelang Patah Interchange on the main Linkedua Expressway.

Iskandar Malaysia is envisioned to become a sustainable metropolis of international standing by 2025.

Spanning 24,000 acres, Iskandar Puteri is undisputedly the largest urban integrated development in Southeast Asia. The last few years have seen Iskandar Puteri begin to develop into a thriving hub. There are lots of shops, eateries and entertainment close to the NUMed campus.

Our campus is well placed for students and staff. The Second Crossing Bridge to Singapore is only 8km from the campus, and the city of Johor Bahru is a near neighbour.

The campus is easily accessible. There are two international airports nearby. NUMed also has it's own shuttle bus, which connects you to the shopping centre, AEON, in Bukit Indah. From Bukit Indah you have access to an excellent bus network, which will even connect you to Singapore.

Iskandar Puteri was designed and intended as a new type of city. Social and community areas plus intrinsic needs such as safety and security, transportation, convenience and enriched lifestyle are at the heart of the development.

Iskandar Puteri is already a benchmark for other cities around the world.
