Purchasing in SRM: Limit Orders

  • Limit orders are also known as blanket or framework orders. Such orders should be used where it is inappropriate to raise multiple shopping carts at a time, or unrealistic to specify actual price/quantities of a required service. Some examples of where limit orders could be used are for newspaper orders or photocopying charges. Using the shop with limit process allows the user to enter an expected value and overall limit for the cart.
  • Once the cart is complete the next stage in the process is approval. For items bought from the e-marketplace there will be a self-approval limit of £500. For more details on approval click here.
