Module
Fees
Fees policy is determined by the Local Management
Committee of the PACT. The cost of a module is increased from time
to time
to take
account of inflation and market factors.
The cost of any module, except the Industrial Project, is currently £1,800. This will increase to £1,900 with effect from 1st January 2013. The module fee covers the cost of the following:
- tuition costs for the one week’s full-time study,
- course documentation,
- access to computing and laboratory facilities during the module,
- unlimited access to the PACT wifi network during the module,
- daytime refreshments and lunches,
- course dinner
- remote support (email, phone, etc) for the assignment,
- assessment and examination fees,
The cost of hotel accommodation and travel is not covered by the
module fee.
The cost of the Industrial Project is twice that of a module (currently £3,600) which includes:
- supervision costs,
- technical input from supervisor,
- supervisor’s travel and accommodation costs for UK site
visits,
- guidance on preparation of dissertation,
- binding of the dissertation,
- assessment and examination fees
Payment for the project becomes due once the project’s specification is agreed.
For delegates sponsored by established and trusted companies, fees are normally paid on a purchase order basis and invoiced in arrears. Otherwise fees are expected to be paid in advance. Arrangements can be made for payment by means of specified credit cards.
