Panasonic
Trust
“The trust seeks to encourage the updating and retraining of qualified
engineers, particularly in new engineering developments and new technologies.
It does this by making grants to assist with the fees for the study
of suitable courses at higher education institutions.”
The normal level of grant made by the Trust is 50% of the course
fees. Whilst the IGDS in Process Automation is approved by the
Trust as being a suitable course, there is no guarantee that
any application
to the Trust will be approved.
Anybody who is admitted to the MSc or Diploma will satisfy the
academic requirements of the Trust. In addition, applicants
must:
- be a UK citizen,
- have membership, at any grade, of an engineering institution,
and
- be working at the professional level in engineering and have
had several years experience at this level.
Employers are expected to support an application in writing,
and to contribute to the funding of the course. Applicants should
liaise with the Director of the IGDS who will be required by the Trust to confirm
their suitability.
