Committees
There are two standing IGDS committees whose membership is largely drawn from that of the Local Management Committee (LMC):
- Examinations Board. This is responsible for academic standards and assessment of the IGDS in accordance with the Regulations of the University and Faculty. It normally meets at the end of September and reports through the LMC to the Faculty Teaching Committee.
- Quality Committee. This is responsible for the implementation of the University and Faculty’s quality procedures in relation to the IGDS. It normally meets annually and reports to the LMC.
The School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials (CEAM) also has one standing committee of relevance to the IGDS:
- Post Graduate Board of Studies (PGBoS). This committee has oversight of all postgraduate courses within CEAM except for the IGDS. The PGBoS is the vehicle through which the LMC reports to the Faculty (SAgE) for Annual Monitoring and Review (AMR) purposes.
