PARTNERS: Developing Potential and Supporting Success

At Newcastle, we aim to admit the brightest and best students, regardless of background. We work closely with PARTNERS schools and colleges throughout the northern region to provide opportunities and support for students who may be thinking of applying to university
As a result of this working relationship, and the events and activities that we provide, we are able to:
- raise awareness of higher education among students
- identify and develop students' potential
- help students make the transition from school and college into Newcastle University
Staff and students from PARTNERS schools and colleges are also able to access the University Library. For more information, staff and students should go directly to the Library web pages.
Applying to Newcastle
Hayley 1st Year, Geography and Planning, BA(Hons)
If you are interested in applying to Newcastle University as a student from a PARTNERS school or college, there are two routes available to you:
- The Guaranteed Offer Scheme: You may be entitled to receive a guaranteed conditional offer from the University, at the typical level for the degree programme(s) you've applied for.
- The PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route: You may be eligible to receive a lower conditional offer from the University, which includes successful completion of a two-week Assessed Summer School.
Financial Support
Whichever you decide is the best route for you, if you are from a PARTNERS school or college and come to Newcastle University to study, you may be entitled to additional financial support, in the form of prizes and scholarships.
“I would recommed PARTNERS, basically because of the freinds you make, you keep them through University. I still keep in touch, even though I don't have all my lectures with them.”
