At Newcastle, we offer a range of scholarships and fee discounts. At least a quarter of undergraduate students entering the University in 2013 will benefit from financial support. Our three main scholarship award schemes are as follows:

Newcastle University Access Scholarship
If you enter the University through our PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route, and have an annual, residual household income of below £42,600 (as assessed by Student Finance England), then you will be entitled to the Newcastle University Access Scholarship of £500 per year.
Eliahou Dangoor Scholarship Scheme
The Eliahou Dangoor Scholarships are aimed at talented, first year UK students from under-represented or non-traditional backgrounds studying science, engineering and maths related courses.
St Nicholas' Educational Trust Studentship
The St Nicholas' Educational Trust has set up a studentship to help young people from PARTNERS schools and colleges in Newcastle who are resident in Newcastle upon Tyne and for whom higher education may impose financial hardship. School of Computing Science PARTNERS Merit Scholarship
The School of Computing Science is offering Scholarships of £3000 each to students who demonstrate excellent performance at our PARTNERS Assessed Summer School.
All students who satisfy the following criteria will be eligible for a scholarship.
The total of £3000 will be paid in installments over a three-year degree programme. The scholarship will continue as long as the student remains registered on one of our degree programmes.
The Cookson Group plc PARTNERS Bursary
The Cookson Group bursary will be awarded to the PARTNERS student who submits the best programming assignment as part of the Computer Science strand of the Assessed Summer School and who enrols on an undergraduate degree in the School of Computing as a result of attending that Summer School.
There will be one bursary awarded each academic year to the value of £3,000 (i.e. once each for Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3), to a total of 3 years (i.e. maximum of £9,000 in payments). This award may be given to a student in addition to the School of Computing Science PARTNERS Merit Scholarship or Care Leavers Award.
Payment will be made to the recipient following registration each academic year and the School reserves the right to terminate the bursary if the recipient withdraws from their degree programme. Recipients of the award will be required to write to the donor on acceptance of their award, and at the end of each academic year.
