Student Guide to Student Life

This event is a chance for pupils to find out what sort of student they would be and to look at the pros and cons of university life. This session is led by students from Newcastle University, meaning that pupils have contact with current undergraduates who are immersed in university life. The event can also be delivered as a three hour session at your school (subject to notice and staff availability).
Intended Learner Outcomes
- Have a greater understanding of learning in a higher education setting
- Be able to compare and contrast higher education with the school experience
- Have had contact with a range of people from the HE sector including students and staff
- Recognise that their post-16 choices are related to progression beyond 18
- Recognise where HE fits into their overall career plan and where it fits into the world of employment and careers generally

- 11.45am – Lunch and campus activities
- 1.15pm – Quiz-Newcastle University Challenge
- 2.00pm – Ask Anything Student Ambassador Question and Answer Panel
- 2.30pm – Depart
