Higher Education Advisers and Teachers Conference

King’s Road Centre, Newcastle University

This is a joint event run by Newcastle and Northumbria Universities that aims to inform delegates about topical issues relating to progression to higher education. The conference is aimed at teachers, tutors, Aimhigher and Connexions colleagues and other professionals involved in the provision of advice and guidance to students.

Delegates will be able to tailor their own conference programme by selecting from a range of breakout sessions covering a variety of topical HE issues such as:

  • Aspiration Raising Activities*
  • PARTNERS*
  • Student Finance
  • UCAS Reference Writing
  • Working with Mature Students
  • Graduate Destinations
  • Student Associates, Students into Schools and Aimhigher Associates*
  • Working with Disabled Students

Also the popular Speed Updating session with academic staff will be available, and an overview of new developments at both universities.
