Eligibility for the Guaranteed Offer Scheme - 2013 Entry
In order to be eligible for the Guaranteed Offer Scheme (2013 entry) you must fulfil the following criteria:
- your school or college must
be involved in PARTNERS.
- you must meet any specific subject requirements at A level (and equivalent),
and GCSE, listed on our Undergraduate website
for the course(s) to which you've applied
- your predicted grades must be within two grades of the typical offer. For example, if the typical offer is AAB, and you are predicted to
achieve BBB, you will receive a guaranteed offer of AAB from the University.
Where the typical offer is expressed as a range eg AAA-BBB, you must be predicted to achieve within two grades of the top of the range.
Students studying BTEC qualifications or the
International Baccalaureate
will be considered on an individual
basis
- you must meet all UCAS deadlines when submitting your UCAS form - 15 October
for Medicine and Dental Surgery, 15 January for all other applications

The Guaranteed Offer Scheme applies to all degree programmes at Newcastle University,
except where selection is based on grades, plus other criteria (such
as assessment, portfolio and interviews). This applies to:
- Architectural Studies (K100) - where a student is studying A2 art or design, an offer to eligible students is guaranteed; where they are not taking A2 art or design, an interview is guaranteed and a portfolio will be assessed
- Business Accounting and Finance (NN14)
- Fine Art (W150/E100)
- Folk and Traditional Music (W340)
- Music (W300 & W304)
- Speech and Language Sciences (B620)
- Medicine (A100)
- Dental Surgery (A206)
