I found out about the PARTNERS programme through school talks and I thought I would understand the work more and get to know the campus if I took part in it.
I really enjoyed the Assessed Summer School, particularly because I got to see the Law School and meet the lecturers. It was useful because it meant I already knew what to expect and I had friends to talk to when I started. I definitely recommend the PARTNERS Programme as it is a great chance to see if the subject is a good choice for you.
I live at home because it is cheaper and more comfortable but the downsides are that it is harder to travel to lectures and it makes it a bit more difficult to socialise. I would advise that if you want to get fully involved in university life then get a place in the accommodation.
The course is as much work as I thought it would be but the lectures aren’t as interesting. University life is great as there are loads of socials, you can have fun with your friends and it’s a great laugh.
I found that my loan and grants help me cope with the costs of university but I also work part-time as a barman which helps.
