How to apply

If you decide that the PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route is for you, then you need to follow a number of steps to make your application.

Making your Application to the PARTNERS Programme
Step One

Look at the eligibility criteria and/or contact us to find out if you are eligible to apply.

Step Two

If you are eligible, you need to complete a PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route Application Form (available from September 2012) that both you and your parent/carer need to sign.

Step Three

Complete your UCAS form adding a 'P' in the 'Further Details' section next to the PARTNERS degree programme(s) you with to apply to.

The 'P' enables our admissions staff to identify you as a PARTNERS applicant. You can apply for up to five courses at Newcastle University through the PARTNERS programme*.

Step Four

Give your PARTNERS application form along with a copy of your completed UCAS form to your teacher/tutor in order for them to complete the reference and send the forms to us.

The person responsible for your form will normally be the teacher/tutor who completes your UCAS reference or the named PARTNERS contact in your school/college.

Deadlines are: 15 October 2013 for Medicine & Dentistry applications and 15 January 2014 for all other applications.

Step Five

Student Recruitment Team staff will make a decision as to whether you will be provisionally accepted onto the Programme based on the eligibility criteria and will write to inform you of their decision.

If you are not accepted, you may still be eligible for the Guaranteed Offer Scheme.

Step Six

If you are provisionally accepted, admissions staff will consider your UCAS form and make a final decision as to whether to make you a PARTNERS offer. This will include the successful completion of the Assessed Summer School and mean you have been formally accepted onto the PARTNERS Programme.

Please note: in order to take advantage of the PARTNERS offer, you must make the PARTNERS offer your firm choice (CF) through UCAS. You may only make your PARTNERS offer your insurance choice (CI) if your CF is for another course at Newcastle University.

Step Seven

You will then be invited to attend a number of PARTNERS Programme Events, including the compulsory Assessed Summer School (30 June - 9 July) and associated work (deadline 22 July 2014) .

You must be available for the duration of the Summer School. We strongly advise you to also be available afterwards to enable you to complete the assessed project work .

* Business Accounting and Finance (NN14) does not take part in the PARTNERS programme.
